Avebury at Night – West Kennet Avenue, Wiltshire

Under a quiet English sky, the ancient stones of Avebury stand as silent witnesses to thousands of years of history. Photographed at night along the West Kennet Avenue, this series explores the dialogue between permanence and motion — immovable megaliths beneath drifting clouds and distant stars. Using long exposures, I sought to capture the subtle glow of the horizon, the texture of weathered stone, and the movement of passing clouds sweeping across the constellations. The open farmland, gentle hills, and isolated trees create a minimalist landscape that amplifies the monumentality of the stones.
