M42, the Orion Nebula, captured from Seven Sisters National Park in the South Downs — my first astrophotography image with my new astro camera.

The Great Orion Nebula (M42), a stellar nursery glowing with ionised hydrogen and scattered starlight, captured in LRGB.

A detailed image of the Orion Nebula (M42) shows a bright, glowing core surrounded by swirling clouds of red and pink gas, with cooler bluish regions extending outward. Dark dust lanes cut through the nebula, and numerous sharp white stars are scattered across the field against a deep black background.
