The Orion Nebula (M42)

This image captures M42, the Great Orion Nebula, photographed from Seven Sisters National Park in the South Downs. It marks my first astrophotography image taken with my astro camera, which makes it a particularly special milestone in my journey. Despite the challenges of learning new equipment, capturing the data, and processing such a complex target, I was able to produce an image I am genuinely proud of. The Orion Nebula is one of the most striking objects in the night sky, with its bright glowing core, rich red hydrogen clouds, and delicate surrounding structure. For me, this image represents more than just the final result — it reflects persistence, learning, and the excitement of seeing all the effort come together in a meaningful way.
