Orion Nebula and the Running Man — M42, M43 & NGC 1977

The Orion Nebula region (M42/M43) captured in a HαRGB presentation, revealing the remarkable contrast between the glowing hydrogen-rich clouds, intricate dust lanes and the brilliant central core. To the left sits the Running Man Nebula (NGC 1977), its blue reflection nebulosity providing a beautiful counterpoint to Orion’s warmer pink and magenta emission regions. I aimed to retain the delicate outer wisps and surrounding dust while keeping the heart of M42 luminous without overpowering the finer structure. A true classic—immense, dynamic and endlessly detailed.
